Last reviewed Oct 29, 2026Who we are
OOPBuy Selection Notes is a small editorial desk based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, founded in 2022. We write about practical product selection: how to read a specification table, what a size chart actually means, which details predict whether a parcel will arrive usable, and how agent handling affects what lands on your doorstep.
We are three editors. Daniel Okafor runs the desk and the intake bench. Priya Raman handles apparel, footwear and material checks. Tomas Lindqvist maintains the specification database, the comparison tables and the retest calendar. There is no large staff behind us; the same three people order, open, measure and write.
How we work
We order the products we feature through shopping agents, the same route a reader would use. We log the order date, the agent's purchase time, the warehouse check-in time and the dispatch time, because timing is part of what a buyer is actually choosing. Parcels are photographed on arrival, weighed, and opened on our bench in Rotterdam.
Our scores use a five-point scale. Editorial, product, agent and reader scores all follow the same standard: 5 / 5 excellent, 4 / 5 good, 3 / 5 adequate, 2 / 5 poor, 1 / 5 very poor. Products we order and test hands-on are scored between 4.0 and 5.0.
What we publish
Selection notes, specification checks, sizing comparisons, packaging observations and agent timing tables. We try to write the note we wished existed before we placed the order ourselves.
