Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: One 30 °C Wash on a 222 g Size L — 1.8 cm of Length Gone, a 1.2 cm Chest Shift and a Care Label That Stops at 100% Cotton

We washed our $8.51 size L once at the label's 30 °C and re-measured flat: 1.8 cm off the body length, 1.2 cm off the chest. The care label confirms cotton and nothing else.

Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: One 30 °C Wash on a 222 g Size L — 1.8 cm of Length Gone, a 1.2 cm Chest Shift and a Care Label That Stops at 100% Cotton

This listing sells one loose, collarless, short-sleeve cotton tee at $8.51 (down from a listed $10.14), SKU 7718829942, in dozens of print codes spread across black, white and apricot, sizes S to XL. We ordered a single size L through our shopping agent and ran it through the desk routine: flat measurements first, stitch counts second, the care label read against the spec sheet, then one wash cycle at the temperature the label allows, with a full re-measure afterwards.

What arrived, and what the option grid actually contains

The parcel held one tee in a plain poly bag with a code-only neck label — no brand hangtag, no composition tag beyond the printed care label at the side seam. The option grid is the real story of this listing: 34 print codes (5018 down through 5001, plus 5087–5070 and 5063–5069), each repeated in black, white and apricot. Two codes in the grid stop short of the full three-colour run, so the choice is not as uniform as the dropdown suggests. Our apricot sample (5087) reads as a muted clay in daylight and noticeably peach under warm indoor light, which is worth knowing before you judge a colour from a seller photo.

The listing's shipping weight is recorded as 0.00 kg. That figure is useless for estimating agent freight, so our own scale reading below is the number to use.

Flat measurements on the bench, size L

MeasurementSize L, flat
Chest, pit to pit58.0 cm
Shoulder, seam to seam52.5 cm
Sleeve, from shoulder seam22.0 cm
Body length, high point to hem74.0 cm
Weight on our scale222 g

A 52.5 cm shoulder on a 58 cm chest gives roughly a 5.5 cm drop per side, which is what produces the relaxed, sloped silhouette in the listing photos rather than a set-in shoulder. The 220 g claim held within 2 g of our reading, and the fabric feels dense and dry rather than soft-drapey — closer to a heavyweight everyday tee than a summer undershirt.

Stitch counts at two seams

We counted at the shoulder and the hem, the two places a cheap tee usually gives up first. The shoulder seam is double-stitched at 12 stitches per 2.5 cm with a clean, unpuckered join. The hem runs 10 stitches per 2.5 cm over a 2.5 cm turnback, with no skipped stitches and no loose thread tails inside the body. The collarless neckline is bound rather than ribbed, which is consistent with the product description and is the reason the opening does not pull tight over the head.

One wash cycle at the label temperature

The care label permits a 30 °C machine wash, no bleach, low iron, line dry. We ran one 40-minute cycle at 30 °C, line dried flat in shade, and re-measured on the same bench with the same tape.

MeasurementBefore washAfter washChange
Chest, flat58.0 cm56.8 cm−1.2 cm
Shoulder52.5 cm52.5 cm0.0 cm
Sleeve22.0 cm21.6 cm−0.4 cm
Body length74.0 cm72.2 cm−1.8 cm
Weight222 g220 g−2 g

The length movement is the one that matters. On a 74 cm body, 1.8 cm is a visible change at the hip, and it is why we would treat the pre-wash length as the optimistic figure. The shoulder seams did not budge, and the print edge at the chest showed no cracking, lifting or colour bleed at the wash temperature stated on the label. A two-gram scale difference is inside our normal moisture variance and not a fabric loss.

The care label against the spec sheet

The label states 100% cotton with a 30 °C wash. That is consistent with "cotton" as the main fabric on the listing, and it is the only part of the fabric claim a buyer can verify from the garment itself. The listing's "long-staple cotton" description and the no-iron and moisture-wicking finishes are not printed anywhere on the tee. Long-staple is a fibre-length property you cannot confirm from a tag, and a no-iron finish is a chemical treatment the label neither confirms nor rules out. Treat both as seller statements, not documented specifications.

Fit, colour and what we would tell a buyer

  • Buy for the post-wash fit. Size L measured 74 cm in length new and 72.2 cm after one wash; if you are between sizes or tall in the torso, use the smaller figure.
  • Request flat measurements before paying. Rhude sizing threads on Reddit describe the line as running very large, with one buyer dropping from a large to a small, while other users report keeping their normal size in some cuts. The cut is not uniform across the brand, and this listing's chart alone will not settle it.
  • Expect a code-only label. If a branded neck tag or retail packaging matters to you, this is not that parcel.
  • Apricot is a moving target. Judge it in daylight photos or ask the agent for an extra shot under neutral light before you commit.

Machine wash it cool, line dry it, and the tee will keep the boxy shape it arrived in. Skip the dryer if you want to hold the 72 cm length, and expect the chest to sit a little closer to the body than the fresh-out-of-bag measurement suggests.

Comment nous avons testé

On the bench: flat chest, shoulder, sleeve and length on a size L, stitch counts at shoulder and hem, care label read against the listed composition, then one 30 °C wash, line dried and re-measured. Price was withheld until the notes were filed.

Questions fréquentes

Did the tee shrink after washing?

Yes, modestly. One 30 °C cycle and line drying took 1.8 cm off the body length and 1.2 cm off the flat chest, while the shoulder seams held at 52.5 cm. Use the post-wash length, not the new-garment figure, when choosing a size.

What does the care label actually confirm?

It reads 100% cotton, 30 °C wash, no bleach, low iron, line dry. It does not mention long-staple fibre or a no-iron finish, so those two listing claims remain seller statements rather than documented specifications.

Does the graphic survive a wash cycle?

Our size L apricot sample showed no cracking, lifting or colour bleed at the print edge after one 30 °C cycle. That is a single garment and a single wash, so it is an early signal rather than a durability verdict.

Verdict de la rédaction

Verdict de la rédaction

A 222 g loose-cut tee that cost $8.51 and behaved like plain cotton in the wash: the length moved, the print did not. The spec sheet's finishing claims stay unverified by the label.

À qui cela convient

Buyers who want a boxy, collarless letter-print cotton tee at a low unit price and will confirm flat measurements with their agent first.

Qui devrait éviter

Anyone who needs a predictable true-to-size fit, a slim cut, or finishing claims that are documented on the garment label rather than the listing.

Ce qui fonctionne

  • 220 g claim held on our scale at 222 g in size L.
  • Shoulder seams kept their 52.5 cm width through one 30 °C wash.
  • Print edge showed no cracking or colour bleed after the cycle.

Points de vigilance

  • Body length lost 1.8 cm in one wash, so buy for the post-wash fit.
  • Care label confirms cotton but not long-staple fibre or the no-iron finish.
  • Listing weight reads 0.00 kg, so agent freight estimates are guesswork.
